The Federation of African Journalists (FAJ), the African regional organisation of the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ), welcomes the conclusions and outcome of the 27th World Congress of the IFJ, held from 24th - 28th May, in Cadiz, Spain.

Johannesburg - The Media Workers Association of SA (Mwasa) on Wednesday welcomed the decision by the SABC board to nullify the appointment of Phil Molefe as head of the news division.

"Mwasa is relieved at the decision by the SABC board to nullify the undemocratic process which resulted in Mr Phil Molefe being installed," Mwasa acting general secretary Ernest Dlamini said.

The World Congress of the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) , meeting in Cadiz, Spain, elected members of the Administrative Committee and its advisers.
