Course is broken up in two blocks of five days each
Practical exercises to master the art of writing. Creating publicity for radio, television, magazines and newspapers.

• Writing and editing for newspapers and magazines: How to write press releases, feature articles, captions for photographs.
• Writing for radio and television: Radio release, mini-documentary, story board, scriptwriting, video news release and producing corporate videos.
• Writing for business: Speech writing, layout and design of posters, brochures and other publications.

Writing, designing and producing annual reports, newsletters and web pages. Television proposals, video scripts, video news releases.

Entry requirements: Grade 12 (matric) and a fair command of English within a public relations environment.

Assessments: Continuous practical writing assignments and the submission on a POE (Portfolio of Evidence) to assess competencies acquired.
