Workshop: Social Media Basics for African journalists
Media development organization Frayintermedia invites African journalists to participate in a three-day modular course on interactive social marketing tools, to be held in Johannesburg from June 8 to 10.
The interactive workshop is aimed at helping journalists, public relations executives and marketers explore new platforms to promote their message. The workshop will include an introduction to interactive social media tools including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, MySpace, Googlewave and blogs. The workshop will also cover guidelines on how to best and appropriately use these mediums.
The workshop costs US$315 but discounts are available for early registration, as well as for freelance journalists or post-graduation journalism students.
